The majority of our equipment comes from large electric companies, electric cooperatives, power companies and lease returns from major equipment manufacturers, all of which have excellent maintenance programs. Our customers can rest assured in the knowledge that the equipment being offered for resale at Southwest Equipment has been well maintained. Once the used bucket trucks and used digger derricks have undergone a detailed inspection to ensure proper operations in our Lewisville, TX facility, any due maintenance, service items and needed repairs are performed. Only then is the unit detailed and made ready for sale.

Our reconditioning process begins with a thorough inspection of the entire bucket truck or digger derrick to identify any areas that are in need of maintenance or repair. Once necessary mechanical or hydraulic repairs are made, the unit is then taken to the body shop. There, the interior of the cab is completely removed and refinished, including the interior dash, door panels, and floor mats. The interiors of our reconditioned bucket trucks and diggers derricks are in like new condition after undergoing this extensive detail process. Exterior cab and other exterior parts are removed for paint are refinished and reinstalled along with new manufacturer's decals. Step areas are refinished with a quality, non-skid coating.
